No. Flight packages can be tailored to suit the level of knowledge and experience you have.

Will I get to fly the simulator?

Yes, as much as you can handle. Your instructor will assist you wherever possible.

Will I understand the briefing and is the simulator difficult to fly?

Briefings are structured to be informative and easy to understand. Your instructor will assist you in all aspects of flying the simulator.

How many people can fly the simulator at one time?

Each flight is conducted one on one with you and your instructor. If you would like to share your session with another person, that option is available at no extra cost.

Can I bring family and friends into the simulator?

You sure can. We have room for another 2 people. Please note that we have to conform to workplace health and safety and fire regulations, so we are not permitted to have no more than 4 people in the simulator at any one time. There is no extra charge for observers.

What is the minimum age requirement for this simulator?

This flight simulator is recommended for ages 12 and over.

How long do I have to use the gift voucher?

Gift vouchers are valid for twelve months after purchase. Please note that we cannot extend the validity date. No refund is available for those vouchers that have expired. The voucher is also not transferable after the expiry date.

Simulator

What type of aircraft does this flight simulator represent?

The simulator is a faithful replica of the Boeing 737-800 Next Generation airliner which is currently in service with QANTAS, Virgin Blue and hundreds of airlines around the world. Everything that you see in this flight simulator is what you see in the cockpit of the real aircraft.

Is the simulator fully enclosed?

Yes it is. This means that the simulator is available in any weather. This simulator is great fun as a rainy day activity!

Does it have certification for training?

Yes. This simulator conforms to CASA, JAR and FAA Flight Training Device standards. Pilots will be able to use this simulator to assist with the issue, renewal and recency requirements for Instrument Flying and other procedures. This simulator is also useful for candidates preparing for an Airline Interview and Check Ride and as part of type trainings, jet transition and multi crew co-ordination course. Please contact Flight Training Australia for information on certified training.

Does the simulator move during the flight?

This simulator does not move during the flight. The high fidelity of the visuals provides you with a very high degree of movement.

How do I book a flight date and time?

The quickest and easiest way to book is through our simple online booking system. Alternatively, you can contact Flight Simulator 737 by email or phone to arrange a booking.

What do I receive if I book on the internet?

If you purchase a gift certificate, one will be issued and sent to you by email. The gift certificate confirms the flight package which has been purchased. It does NOT include a confirmed date and time for the flight. You can book a date and time for your flight once you or your nominated recipient has received the voucher by email.

Using the Book & Pay Now function, you can reserve a date and time right away, and pay by entering your credit card details. A voucher will be issued to your specified email address and your time will be confirmed in the Flight Simulator 737 schedule once payment has been received.

Can I book a date and time for my flight at the time of purchase?

It depends on how you have purchased the voucher. If you purchase by internet, phone or talk to your instructor, you can confirm a booking at the same time.

If you purchase a gift certificate online, the certificate will be sent to you (or your nominated recipient) via email. You can then book a date and time for the flight by phone or internet flight schedule.

Can I upgrade to a longer flight than the one purchased?

Yes, you (or your nominated recipient) can upgrade by paying the difference between the value of the voucher and the price of the longer flight – provided this is done when booking a confirmed date and time for the flight. This is subject to simulator availability on the day.
